Last post

Now that the transition has happened over to a new website and blog page I wont be using this one anymore. I would love for everyone to check out our Facebook page under Black Box Photography and see what Levi and I are up to. While you are there we would love for you to "like" the page:) What can I say...i'm all about free advertising. Thanks Facebook:) Thought I hated you, but now I kinda love you.

A lot of new and great things are happening with Scott and I in the next few months. We have officially decided to make the move back to Ohio. We are looking forward to being with family and friends again and talking about the idea of starting our own family. No babies yet, but in the possible future for all those who might be wondering:) We have a big vacation to Scotland coming up and as soon as we get back we'll be searching for our first home. We would love all the prayers we can get for Scott to find the right job for him so the move back can be as smooth as possible.

As for me and a teaching job...I don't exactly see it happening, but will be looking. Thankfully Levi and I have weddings booked and I hope that I can keep busy with photographing engagements, families, babies, and all the other things people love pictures of. I also plan on traveling back to Arizona and keeping all the wonderful families that i've photographed the past year.

Thank you to all our friends and their families that have made the past three years out here so amazing. We are so sad about leaving and will miss everyone very much.

Black Box Photography

Here goes nothing...as of right now we have a website and a facebook page:) Everything is still a work in progress, but we're excited for what's to come. Erin & Nicole

Erin, Nicole, and I have been trying to get together to do pictures for months now. The first time we were all available and ready it poured rain and our second attempt (today) it poured again. Really?! Come on this is Phoenix we're talking about! It doesn't rain here. As the day continued we kept in touch to see if the rain would let up. And it did:) We changed locations from our original plan and headed out. Girls, I had soooo much fun! Haven't laughed that hard in a long time:)You girls are beautiful!! Hope we can do it again soon!

                           

Kristy+John=Awesome

So I was lying in bed one night, wide awake thinking of everything and nothing. For all who know me you know that I easily jump from one topic to the next or come up with random comments are topics. I'm sure it annoys others because I know it annoys me:) And many of my nights are lying in bed thinking of the million ways of how I can be better at photography?, when is my next shoot?, I wonder if Scott's still awake?, what do I need to work on?, how much do people think I suck and just aren't telling me?, and the thoughts continue...I then come up with an idea...who are two people that can model for me so I can practice a few things???? KRISTY and JOHN!! The next day at work I call Kristy on our work phones and ask her if she could model for me and that she had to ask her boyfriend John if he would be up for it too ha ha. Kristy might have mentioned that she had to do some convincing on John's end, but that she would let me know that night. The convincing thankfully worked and yesterday we met up for a couple hours and had some fun or at least on my end it was:) Thank you again you two! You guys are amazing and did an awesome job. Here are a few from the day.

Sofia's Baptism

This past Sunday I was honored to photograph a very special day for Aly and Joe. Their beautiful baby girl Sofia was baptised at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Church with a wonderful reception that followed with amazing food, family, and friends. As always Aly and Joe and their  families were absolutely welcoming, loving, and hospitable. Thank you again for allowing me to be part of such an awesome day.

Baby Nicholas

Andy and Jill were blessed with their second boy just a couple weeks ago. Aly passed my name along to Jill and on Saturday Scott and I met this wonderful family and their adorable new bundle of joy:) I couldn't have asked for a smoother session that day. Scott was super helpful in moving things and holding up a sheet to give a clean background behind Nicholas. I might be a bit bossy at times ha ha, but we make a fabulous team:) I'm pretty sure he thinks so too. Most importantly, Nicholas slept the entire time and Andy and Jill are one the most easy going parents I've ever met. Thank you so much for having us over and I hope you enjoy the photos.

This is Benjamin...he's the big brother:) I could have eaten him the second I saw him, he's so cute!



    

Sneak Peek...

I had a fabulously, busy weekend and here is one photos from each event. My weekend started off with Baby Nicholas, oh he's so adorable!! He slept the entire time and was so easy to photograph. I'm excited to show you more soon. Next, was Paige and Desi's Sweet 16 party. I know Paige through her mom Judith:) Love the family and was excited to snap some photos for their memories. The last event was baby Sofia's baptism. It was another amazing day with Joe and Aly's family. I don't know what I would do without you guys.
